YOUNG ATHLETES

Every child has a limitless potential for growth, maturity, and greatness both on and off the playing field. It is important to take action and get kids active early, as obesity rates are so high in this country. We give them the tools to train and eat right, so they can live a long healthy life. Expected Results:

Consistent participants in the FORM Fitness Kids Jiu Jitsu and Kickboxing should see:

  • Improved Athleticism and Fitness:

    Kids engage in a series of conditioning, stretching and strength exercises as part of each class. Consistent attendance produces better muscle tone, strength, and flexibility. As a result, participants will experience a lower percentage of body fat, increased energy, and enthusiasm for physical activity.

  • Improved Coordination:

    Jiu Jitsu requires learning grappling techniques and putting them together in a string of movement, which develops both specific and sequential improvement in the coordination of the body. Participants will practice single movements as well as combinations, subsequently enhancing coordination through the development of mental pathways and muscle memory.

  • Improved Self-Esteem:

    The success that kids experience while participating in classes over time will build a self-respect that translates into self-esteem. They learn to trust, respect, and like themselves for who they are.

  • Self-Defense:

    Most participants come to class for fun, but kids also learn valuable self-defense skills. Kids trained in the grappling arts learn how to avoid, evade, and escape from many physical confrontations so common to the young, making it easy for them to avoid the common "bully traps".

  • Improved Mental Calmness:

    While our programs will require hard work, we always strive for a balance between physical output and mental calmness. It is through intelligent, calm effort that athletic potential is unleashed.
